The Longest Yarn Documentary is in Production.
The Longest Yarn film explores the construction of The Longest Yarn Tapestry (thelongestyarn.com) and what it represents: the events of D-Day June 6th, 1944 - with soldiers loading up in England and stuck there because of the storm, to the fierce battles on the landing beaches in Normandy, to the bombardment of the civilian population with towns and cities flattened by allied bombing. The combined battle casualties of the Invasion were 550,000 of those killed 4,000 were civilians. It was the greatest amphibious operation of all time.
